Parliamentary delegation, US officials discuss obstacles of democratic experiment in Iraq

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) -A delegation from the Parliamentary Legal Committee discussed with some US officials from the US Secretary of State in Washington, the obstacles of the democratic experiment in Iraq.
A statement by the Media Office of the parliament received by IraqiNews.com cited “While visiting the USA, a delegation from the Parliamentary Legal Committee met with some US officials in the Secretary of State in Washington where they discussed the Iraqi file.”
“During the meeting, the two sides discussed the future of Iraq in addition to the Strategic Pact between Iraq and the USA,” the statement added.
“The two sides have also assured the necessity of settling the obstacles that hinder the democratic experiment in Iraq by adhering to the constitution and achieving the national partnership among all the Iraqis,” the statement concluded.
