BAGHDAD - INA / Tell a member of the parliamentary finance committee, Masood Haider, "the Iraqi News Agency" that "the monetary reserves of the Central Bank began to decrease, and that the government's Reserve approached from scratch."
He attributed the decrease in the central reserve to the "wrong policies of the bank."
Haider said that "among the erroneous policies pursued by the Central Bank to sell dollars to import food made possible in Iraq, such as sweets and juices, despite the existence of the financial crisis plaguing the country."
And through the MP regretted that "the central bank sold the weakness of state revenues in bank auctions over the past month."
The MP Magda Tamimi, earlier in the day, "The central bank sales of dollars at auction currency amounted to 3 billion and 318 million dollars," adding that "a difference of one billion and 674 million dollars."
Haider commented, "This is very dangerous on the monetary policy for Iraq," stressing "the need to monitor the bank's policy in order to maintain the rest of the financial liquidity and financial reserves."
