     The Ministry of Water Resources, on Monday, seeking to establish several small dams across the country to take advantage of the flood water. While expected to increase water stockpiling reserves to twenty billion cubic meters , the end of thecurrent season as a result of abundant rainfall, Izzat forced the government to issue a statement on theMosul Dam to "reassure" the public opinion, being a "safe and operating normally."

     Rashid added that " the ministry has sought since 2003 to build at least 30 dams in different parts of Iraq, but the financial distress and the repercussions of the security situation prevented that , despite the existence of studies and designs so special , "adding that" Iraq currently has 22 dams or ascend continuously work as well about another 13 are on the edges of the water. " 
    and on the water inventories available, Rashid said that" Iraq has suffered in the past 2015 water severe scarcity, reaching treasury reserves 11 billion cubic meters , "noting that" the abundance of rainfall in thecurrent 2016, led to an increase water inventories to 16 billion m3 and is expected to exceed twenty billion m3 end of the season. " 
    said Director General of the dams in the Ministry of water resources that" the distribution of water is hereby certified by the National Centre for management of the Ministry of water resources policy ", pointing out that there are " two plans for the distribution of water resources. the first summer for agriculture, and for thesecond winter, in coordination with the Ministry of Agriculture, as well as the needs of the industrial plants ,which is a priority for our drinking water. " 
    Rasheed said that" the ministry 's plan to secure the crops will depend on what is available from water revenues, "Msttrda that" 2015 last seen securing thirty percent of the needs of the summer schedule as aresult of scarcity and overtaking on water quotas , "noting that" the ministry has been able to secure 110% of the agricultural season winter after it was planned 70% due to the abundance of water. " 
    he went on general manager of the dams , saying that" Iraq 's need for the actual was up to 50 billion m 3 ,"and continued:" but the decline in water revenue as a result of the establishment of Turkey 's many dams on the Tigris and Euphrates rivers , forced the ministry to adopt a new policy. " 
    and on the government 's statement on the Mosul Dam, Rashid counting that" the statement confirms data Ministry of water resources , which reported that the security of the dam and operating normally , "stressing that" the collapse of the process in the dam is weak and rare. "

    the Council of Ministers, issued in ( the 28th of February 2016), guidance package which he called for citizens to abide by in the event of the collapse of the Mosul Dam, but stressed at the same time that the chances of this happening , "virtually non - existent." 
    the Trevi Group of Italy signed, in the (second from March current 2016), signed a contract with the Iraqi government worth 273 million euros, for the maintenance of the Mosul Dam and it is expected to continue maintenance work over a year and a half.
