    The Governor of Basra Majed Nasraoui, on Tuesday, the approval of the Prime Minister Haider al - Abadi on investment of two oilfields in the province to their advantage. He disclosed that the two fields are the rivers Omar and Brick and who did not go into within the oil licensing rounds. The provincial council revealed a proposal to the Ministry of Oil calculates 5% of sales (SOMO) in favor of Basra, he pointed out that the proposal requires the vote of Parliament.

    for his part, chairman of the Commission on oil and gas in the Basra Governorate Council Ali Knight said in aninterview to the (long - Presse), the "Omar rivers field and the field of brick two fields are working within a run South oil company fields with a production capacity of up to about 50 thousand barrels a day each," returned to "Kablan fields of development."
