On Day 1, 93 children and family members arrived at the door of the “Peace Zone” clinic for medical care.  After fleeing from ISIS to Tikrit, 123 miles south of Mosul, these families are very vulnerable and in need of so much, including basic health care.
The project is the brainchild of the Iraq Health Access Organization (IHAO)founder Hala Sarraf, and supported by an enthusiastic team of Iraqis with the International Federation of Medical Student Associations, the Iraqi Children FoundationPreemptive Love CoalitionEducation for Peace in Iraq Center (EPIC)Karadah Project, and Goals & Dreams.
ICF is honored to be a part of this team project and salutes the courageous young Iraqi doctors and nurses who are delivering loving medical care in very difficult circumstances.
