The Governor of Iraq to the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) ,Falah al - Amiri, on Friday, for his country 's determination to reduce its oil exports from the south to a range between 3.1 million and 3.15 million bpd in January from 3.51 million bpd in December.
Amiri told reporters that Iraq 's second - largest producer in OPEC has already cut its oil exports , which now amount to 3.077 million barrels per day.
And began the OPEC members and producers outside the Organization of the implementation of an agreement this month to cut production.
The Iraqi oil minister on Jabar Luaibi said on Thursday that Iraq is committed to this agreement.
Luaibi said that Iraq cut exports by 170 thousand barrels per day and Sakhvdha by 40 thousand barrels per day again this week.
Ameri stressed today that the export allocations in February will fall to 102 million barrels from 106 million in January.
