If the Blackhawks have been saving up their best performance—after two not so great outings—for today, that would be pretty much vital to their hope for winning the Central Division and getting home ice through the playoffs. They sit three point behind Minnesota today, and the Wild have a game in hand.
This is a big game, and as such, a good metric of where the Hawks actually are, and can be expected to be come April and May.
