    [ltr]Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The parliament Speaker, Osama al-Nijaifi discussed with head of the Supreme Judicial Council, the judge Hassan Ibrahim al-Hamiri, the humanitarian situation of the innocent detainees.[/ltr]
    [ltr]A statement by Nijaifi’s office reported “Nijaifi stressed during a phone call with Hamiri, the necessity to provide all protection to the detainees and offer the required care for them, expressing his concerns over the news which revealed that dozens of detainees are suffering killing and torture recently.”[/ltr]
    [ltr]The parliament Speaker called to punish the sides that stand behind these assaults and bring them to justice, noting “preserving the human rights in Iraq is a responsibility that cannon be neglected.”[/ltr]
