Greece calls on Iraq to take part in the Forum of Ancient Civilizations in Athens

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs received on Sunday a Greek invitation to attend the work of the Forum of Civilizations, to be held in late April in Athens.
"The meeting discussed the bilateral relations between Baghdad and Athens and ways to strengthen them and develop them to serve the interests of the two friendly countries," a statement issued by the ministry said.
He added that "the Greek ambassador carried an invitation to Jaafari, to attend the Forum of Civilizations with the participation of 10 countries," pointing out that "the forum will be held in Athens later this month."
"The importance of holding such forums contributes to safeguarding the common interests of the peoples," Jaafari said, adding that he would "seek to represent Iraq in the work of the forum."
"The next period will see the launch of flights between Athens and Baghdad," the Greek ambassador said, according to the statement
