    Baghdad - Mawazine News
The director of the port of Safwan border, Brigadier Jafar Sadiq Hamid Sudanese, on Monday, an increase in revenues at the port amounted to 22 billion dinars in one month.
Al-Sudani said in a press conference held at the Safwan port and attended by Mawazine News that he "discovered during the investigation that the center of Kamark Safwan did not implement the decision of the Council of Ministers on customs tariff," stressing that "the non-implementation of this decision caused great harm and a waste of public money" .
He added that the file was referred to the Integrity Commission and the Integrity Judge took a courageous decision to bring in a number of employees and refer them to the judiciary, noting that "the port started to increase revenues from 12 to 22 billion and there will be an increase during the next month."
The Sudanese, "The port is witnessing daily revenues of 800 million dinars to one billion and 400 million dinars," stressing that "this increase witnessed by the port came through the adoption of firm legal procedures from the management of the port to address all cases of corruption and the referral of more than forty employees to integrity "He said.
The border crossings in the country suffer from rampant corruption because of the money they generate on their beneficiaries, while the government is trying to maximize its financial imports through those outlets. "
