    Safi promised, Khor Al - Zubair commercial and industrial task ports being dedicated to the transport of petroleum products and goods as it is an important center for the import and export operations, noting that because of the importance it represents, the Organization of JICA (has been) the Japanese to be a Japanese loan dedicated to the rehabilitation of the port and its development to keep pace with ports the world in terms of infrastructure, machinery and equipment that it contains as well as ways of receiving large ships and methods of containers and storage dump.
    And disclosed for his company a certificate of appreciation from the organization (JICA) for its commitment to the implementation of projects and completed in accordance with the system established by the organization, the recent spur on the granting of the second loan dedicated to the development of the port of Khor Al - Zubair, explaining that his company after its commitment to the dates of project implementation and accuracy of work and the extent of compliance with international standards will be able to get a third loan without entering into competition mechanism and loans will be granted by the Japanese organization continuously, which will help significantly to the development of the reality of ports and advancement.
    He noted Media General Company for Ports Manager, that loading and unloading operations have seen during the recent significant increase, as the number of imported tonnage exceeded through which the 146 thousand tons, compared to 174 thousand tons of cargo exported, recalling what characterizes the Iraqi port of geographic locations strategic task of being linked between the continents of Asia and Europe.
