Ankara has begun building a wall along the border with Iran similar to the Turkish barrier along the Syrian border, according to a report by the Turkish private news agency Erdogan.
Agadir Governor Suleiman Elban was inspecting the construction of the security fence on Tuesday, the agency said.
According to the report, the Turkish authorities are building the barrier two meters wide and three meters high with unstable blocks.
Turkey has been building the wall along the Iranian border to strengthen security by stopping infiltrations by Kurdish militants and illegal smugglers.
The Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan announced in January, plans to build a wall along the border with Iraq and Iran, which is similar to the wall is being held along the length of 911 km with Syria.
