Leaked documents reveal Australian procedures for the expulsion of asylum seekers

    11:14 - 27/08/2017

The Australian government has taken a new package of measures to reduce the support allocated to hundreds of refugees residing in its territory, while granting asylum seekers 3 weeks to leave their protest centers.

According to media reports, hundreds of refugees living in Australia will be reduced support and budget allocated to them.

The leaked documents revealed that asylum seekers were given three weeks to leave government-supported accommodation, such as a detention center and refugee camps, the Sun Herald reported.

The new policy will see refugees who have been transferred to Australia for medical reasons on a new visa known as the "final exit visa" that ends with the repatriation or repatriation of refugees to other countries.

Under this visa, the refugees' income and financial support will be cut off to about $ 200 every two weeks, with a three-week deadline to exit the accommodation provided.

Human rights lawyers criticized the move, saying it was "a cruel attempt to force citizens to return to danger."

Australia is following an aggressive policy to stop illegal immigration to the country, which provides for intercepting and returning smuggled migrants to their places of origin, as well as arresting those arriving at special detention centers set up on remote islands in the central Pacific.
