Government plan to deduct 1% of employees' salaries

The Ministry of Planning announced on Monday the deduction of one percent of the salaries of employees to organize an electronic name for them, while pointing out that the deduction will be for one month, and criticized officials in the state departments increased parts of their financial benefits after the austerity resulting from low oil prices.


"The mechanism that will be followed with the waiver has not been done yet," ministry spokesman Abdul Zahra al-Hindawi told Al-Mada.
He said Hindawi said, "The Council of Ministers is the one who issued the resolution and the ministry is waiting for instructions for this resolution for the implementation of the disbursement."
Hindawi said that "the main objective of this step is to work a table and information by the statistics in the Ministry of Planning for all employees, so that there is an evolution on this matter."
And Hindawi that "the Ministry of Planning, especially the statistical section, will work fully for the work of electronic electronic data on personnel in all of Iraq." He added that "this issue without doubt need a lot of money, as it is not as easily expected," noting that "the deduction will go to this project."
"Unifying personnel data is important at the moment, as it is a gateway to the development of electronic development and the completion of the old methods."
Hindawi said that "the deduction of only one percent of the nominal salary will be for one month only and not as it is known that it lasts for a long time."
He added that "the employee in exchange for the deduction of one percent of his salary will receive an electronic name of his own and through which all information is available as well as receipt of his salary through that method.
Mustapha Menem, a public sector employee, hopes that "the cuts will not continue, especially since there are previous deals."
Menem said in an interview with Al-Mada that "there are a lot of employees, the amount of their salary is not enough to meet their need for living, adding to the many pieces, which burdens the employee."
And Ben Menem that "there is a broken proportion of the popular crowd, in addition to the new pieces around the electronic name, which means that the government can not provide anything except through the employee."
"The government is responsible for doing these things, so a project like standardizing employee data should be borne by the government alone, not the simple employee," he said.
"In the first place, 10 percent is retired, while the proportion of the popular crowd of pieces is 3.8 percent of the total salary, not just nominal," he said.
He pointed out that "2000 dinars are cut for the guarantee, and now the pieces of the electronic name," and called for "reducing these segments because the proportion of what is taken from the staff, for example, up to 70 thousand per month, while the value of 100 thousand for those who have a service of 15 years" .
