Midweek Random Offseason Notes
- Single game seats are now on sale in Nashville, get them through the Predators website.
- Rookies report in seven days… August is done and hockey is almost back!
- Viktor Arvidsson decided to revert to his longtime number, 33… it wasn’t available until Colin Wilson was traded.
- Freddie Gaudreau and Vlad Kamanev will also sport new numbers in gold… Gaudreau will wear 89 going forward and Kamanev will wear 91.
- NHL.com completed its 30 in 30…. Errr… 31 in 31 today, finishing up with Winnipeg.
- Interesting prospect observations from the Preds installment of 31-in-31. Samuel Girard will spend most of his time in Milwaukee this season, but either he or Alex Carrier could be the first blueline call up if needed and Carrier has a solid shot of making the roster. The above mentioned Kamanev should make the team after a solid season in Milwaukee and Eeli Tolvanen… after being named KHL rookie of the week… posting 3 goals and 3 assists in his first two games… well… who knows?
- NHL Network replaying the Final today… games three and four were fun to watch! Thank heavens for the rain fade on my DirecTV so I didn’t see game five
- Rosters for rookie camp were just released… I will have a complete review tomorrow
