For his part, head of the security committee in Basra province, Jabbar al-Saadi need for the Navy to take its role in protecting the territorial waters of the country, while noting that the raid and the arrest of the two vessels were unsuccessful, stressed that smuggling and terrorism are two sides of the same coin aimed at sabotaging the security and economy of Iraqis.

Saadi explained that the operation was carried out in the light of information indicating the existence of terrorist plots targeting the ports, warning the need to review the security leaders of the plans that are placed between the recent and the other to protect the ports, as well as hold negligent in their duties, if any.
