    Baghdad - Agencies
The United States on Thursday called on NATO to reinforce its mission in Afghanistan with a thousand additional troops.
The new US envoy to NATO, Kelly Hutchinson, said the new US strategy on Afghanistan was to consolidate the "crucial support" mission of 3,000 US and 1,000 other NATO members.
The Secretary-General of NATO, Jens Stoltenberg, confirmed in August the increase in the number of elements of the mission beginning next year.
The mission currently includes 12,000 people who carry out advisory missions and training Afghan special forces, officers and pilots.
It should be noted that the new US strategy on Afghanistan requires the survival of NATO forces in this country until victory over the organization of "Da'ash" and force the Taliban to sit around the negotiating table with the government.
