    [ltr]Mawazine News - Follow up[/ltr]
[ltr]TEHRAN (Reuters) - Iranian Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei said on Wednesday that Tehran would abide by a nuclear deal with major powers in 2015, as long as those powers were committed to it, but would "crush" it if the United States pulled out of it.[/ltr]
[ltr]Khamenei's speech came days after US President Donald Trump adopted a new, tougher approach to Iran by refusing to ratify Tehran's commitment to an agreement reached under his predecessor, Barack Obama, and said it might eventually annul it.[/ltr]
[ltr]The move led to a row between Washington and other signatories - Britain, France, Germany, Russia, China and the European Union - which said Washington could not take unilateral action to scrap the multilateral agreement ratified by the United Nations.[/ltr]
[ltr]Khamenei, the highest authority in Iran, welcomed the support of those countries, but said it was not enough. "Europe must stand up against the practical measures taken by America," he said.[/ltr]
[ltr]He added that if the United States withdrew from the agreement, "Iran will split it."[/ltr]
[ltr]Iranian media quoted Khamenei as saying that Iran was determined to continue the controversial ballistic missile program despite European and American pressure to suspend it.[/ltr]
