    WASHINGTON (Reuters) - Washington's decision-makers are lobbying with political names to push for a second term if incumbent Prime Minister Haidar al-Abadi is to stand down, a White House source said on Thursday.

    The political adviser, Zaki Abdul Hamid al-Bayati, a foreign expatriate who has been working for the White House for decades, and a close associate of US Senator John McCain, said the latter that "if the nomination of the current prime minister, who has a popular, regional and international consensus, Because of the pressure exerted by the Iraqi parties in addition to the role of Iran, the White House took hold of deliberation on some of the names of possible payment in the next phase.

    Al-Bayati added that "the current names of technocrats are welcomed by decision-makers in Washington, pointing out that these names are Minister Mohammed Shiaa al-Sudani, MP Haitham al-Jubouri and Emad al-Kharsani, who was Secretary of the Council during the Jaafari period."

    He revealed that "parties in the rule of law prompted the nomination of the name of Khalaf Abdul Samad, but was rejected by the American leaders in Baghdad."

    This warned Prime Minister Haider Abadi, the postponement of the upcoming elections, leaving the country in a constitutional vacuum.
