Continue ... / Clashes broke out Monday between two armed factions loyal to the Libyan Presidential Council, near the airport of Maitika in the capital Tripoli.
The airport administration decided to stop flights to and from the airport, against the backdrop of recent developments, Sky News reported.
The clashes took place between the militia of the "Special Deterrent Force" controlling the airport, led by Abdel Raouf Karra, and the "Baqara" militia from the Tajoura area east of Tripoli, which launched an attack on the airport.
The attackers were joined by extremist gunmen fleeing from eastern Libya. Finished
