MP Rahim Darraji said Tuesday that imports of border crossings amounted to 9 billion dollars annually.
Al-Daraji said in a statement received by Baghdad Post: The imports of border crossings amounted to 9 billion dollars, indicating that what goes into the state treasury is 700 million to 800 million dollars of these imports annually. He added: The border crossings controlled by organized gangs backed by influential political parties. He said Darraji: There are serious intentions to eliminate corruption rampant in the departments and institutions of the state, including border crossings.
