MP Yasser Hashem hinted on Wednesday at suspicions of corruption in a contract for the General Railway Company, affiliated with the Ministry of Transport, worth $22 billion.
Hashem told Al-Maalouma Agency, "The Ministry of Transport, represented by the General Railway Company, has concluded contracts worth more than 22 billion dollars, indicating that these contracts are draining and almost legalized corruption."
He pointed out that "concluding contracts worth billions with companies linked to the godfather of the theft of the century raises question marks that require the government to solve the mystery and provide convincing answers about the secrets of what is happening in the country's institutions."
