Numbering Nineveh buildings in preparation for the population census

The Nineveh Statistics Directorate has begun enumerating and numbering buildings and residential units in preparation for the general population census scheduled to be conducted next November.
The Director of Nineveh Statistics, Nawfal Suleiman, told Al-Sabah: The enumeration and numbering of residences and buildings is being carried out by 2,500 employees in Nineveh Education, in addition to supporting departments, and includes hundreds of residential neighborhoods and villages inside the city of Mosul, its outskirts and surroundings.
In turn, Nineveh Governor Abdul Qader Al-Dakhil revealed in an interview with Al-Sabah that the head of the advisory body, the general supervisor of the population census, visited to supervise the numbering of residential and non-residential buildings and the enumeration of residents, by collecting their data. This phase will continue for two consecutive months.
He stressed that the general population census is a national development project that serves Iraq in general and Nineveh Governorate in particular, praising the role of the staff of the Statistics Directorate in Nineveh and their efforts to make the census process a success.
