    MP on the coalition of state law Zeinab al-Khazraji, Sunday, the Iraqi government to use the economic file pressure paper on the Turkish side in order to increase Iraq's water quota, calling for the closure of border crossings with the Turkish until the response to Iraq's demands.
    "The volume of economic exchange between Iraq and Turkey is very large, so the Iraqi government should put pressure on the Turkish side to increase our water quota," Khazraji said in a statement. 
    "Iraq is facing a water war by the upstream countries, which led to drought of the rivers and the deterioration of the agricultural sector because of the lack of water for watering the farmers."
    Khazraji pointed out that "the provinces of the south suffer greatly from the lack of water and the deterioration of the agricultural sector, especially in the province of Dhi Qar, so the government to intervene quickly and pressure on the Turkish side through the economic file to increase Iraq's water share before the country is a disaster due to lack of water in all Iraqi provinces "He said. Ending / 25
