    Foreign Ministry spokesman Bahram Qasimi announced the presence of Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Jawad Zarif at the Iraq Reconstruction Conference in Kuwait. 
    "Iran welcomes the establishment of this conference and considers the contribution of the international community to the reconstruction of this country a necessary step in the right direction, 
    "The Islamic Republic of Iran has never and will never doubt its support for the Iraqi people and government, as it has been and will remain with the people and the Iraqi government in the fight against terrorism," he said.
    "As with Iran's support for Iraq in the political and security fields, the Islamic Republic of Iran will continue to play its supporting and constructive role in the process of assisting Iraq in the reconstruction and economic development of the post-Saddam era," he said. 
    Kuwait is hosting the Iraq Reconstruction Conference, which focuses on the collection of financial assistance to various international sources for the reconstruction of Iraq, especially in war-stricken areas, paving the ground for radical solutions to internal conflicts, modernizing Iraq's local and national capacities, strengthening the country's social fabric and balancing reconstruction and implementing the national reconciliation program.
