Iran raises production by 300,000 barrels from a joint field with Iraq
to the plan, the production capacity of oil in the joint fields with Iraq west of the Karun River has reached more than 300,000 barrels per day and will rise to 350,000 by next month, the executive director of the Iranian Oil and Engineering Company
"Oil production from these fields now stands at more than 300,000 barrels a day and the increase in production capacity is going on with seriousness," Shahnazizadeh told the Economist News .
He pointed out that "the project for the construction of the pipeline and installations related to the transfer of crude oil from the fields of West Karon, which is now on the occasion of formalization of the official," explaining that this project allows the transfer of crude oil and heavy crude separately to the export terminals .
"This project provides the possibility of transporting 550,000 barrels of light crude oil and heavy crude per day as a first stage to rise to more than 1 million barrels in the second stage ."
The oil expert Hussein al-Rubaie said earlier, "Iran is currently drilling within the territory of Iraq within 3 km and the production of oil while international law confirms that the common fields managed by proportion, if the proportion of Iraq 90% of the oil field joint, Iran should Give 90% of its production to Iraq and Iraq should give Iran 10% of its production. "
