    The United States on Wednesday offered its condolences to Iraq over the security breach in Hawija district, south of Kirkuk.
    In a statement to the news agency, Haidar al-Abadi said that the latter received in his office Wednesday Assistant Secretary of Defense Robert Karem and his accompanying delegation.
    During the meeting, they discussed the bilateral cooperation between the two countries, the regional developments and developments, and the US support for Iraq in the post-victory phase.
    He noted that Karem has expressed his condolences over the Riyadh incident in Hawija.
    The US Assistant Secretary of Defense said the United States continued to support Iraq.
