Iraq refuses to host American base

A government source early on Tuesday, the Iraqi government's refusal to the intention of the US administration to transfer the base of the Incirlik military in Turkey to the Kurdistan region of Iraq.
The source said in a statement to Al-Maaloumah that "the Iraqi government received with surprise the news that the United States intends to transfer the Turkish base of Incirlik to the Kurdistan region of Iraq or the Kurdish areas of Syria."
The source added that "Baghdad will reject any American step of this kind and will not accept US military bases on its territory."
A researcher at the Center for the Study of Society and State in Israel, Pinhas Anbari, said that the United States is already considering moving its military base Anjerlik in Turkey to the Kurdish areas, either in Iraqi Kurdistan or in Syria's Kurdistan. Ending / 25
