"During the discussions, we found that the smuggled money remains as it is, except for a small percentage of it being returned to Iraq," he said.
Al-Sahlani pointed out that "there is a defect and a clear deficit and obstruction by some quarters, as well as legal obstacles caused by countries that want to seize the money for as long as possible."
He continued that "the return of smuggled money is one of the serious files that wasted public money, but the concerned authorities in the Iraqi state, which is about 7 institutions as well as the House of Representatives, did not accomplish anything in that file in general."
