Khosravi crossing to open soon

The head of the 40th Commission of the Islamic Republic of Iran (IRGC) announced on Thursday that preparations had been made for signing an agreement between Iran and Iraq to reopen the Khosravi border crossing to provide services to visitors.
"The opening of the Khosravi border crossing leads to a reduction in congestion at the Mehran border crossing, and both crossings are managed in an orderly and proper manner," Hossein Zulfiqari, Iran's deputy interior minister in security affairs, told a meeting of the 40th committee on Friday in Kermanshah province.
"We have been able to create the infrastructure of the crossing of Khosravi border, stressing that one of the priorities of the Committee of Forty, to maintain the safety of visitors to Imam Hussein (peace be upon him)."
"There is a clear willingness to reopen the Khosravi border crossing to provide services to visitors, especially during the visit of 40 Imam Hussein," he said. "There has been an open agreement to reopen the Khosravi border crossing, which will soon be signed with the Iraqi side."
The Interior Ministry official also called for "the need to issue visas between Iraq and Iran electronically, to prevent the exploitation of things by some fraudsters and unlicensed offices."
