Hamoudi calls for protection of national industries
05/3/2018 12:00 am [rtl] BAGHDAD / AL-SABAH (Reuters) - Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives Hammam Hamoudi called for the non-increase of tax duties on the "al-Satayeker" factories, while cautioning against "ill-considered" decisions that harm national industries. "We reject the establishment of the Municipality of Baghdad to increase tax duties on the factories of the Shtayaker and Kashi," Hamoudi said in a statement received by Al-Sabah newspaper. "This is contrary to the programs of encouraging the national product and is a blow to the national industry." Hamoudi pointed out that "the increase in the prices of black oil has also caused an increase in the production costs of brick factories, furnaces and others, which will weaken their competitiveness with the importer, and push some to close these plants," warning of "any unthought decisions that harm national industries and also cause increased unemployment and deprivation The country is in dire need of financial resources in the current crisis [/rtl] [rtl][You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] [/rtl] |
