    [rtl]The polling stations in all governorates of the country opened its doors to the Iraqis to vote in the legislative elections for the year to select the members of the Federal Parliament in its fourth legislative session 2018.[/rtl]


    [rtl]"All the polling stations in the capital have opened their doors to citizens to cast their votes amid tight security," a trend reporter in Baghdad said, noting that "more than 2,000 women are competing in the current parliamentary elections."[/rtl]


    [rtl]The correspondent added that "the hours of voting can not be extended because of the mechanism of electronic voting," noting that "the parliamentary elections are conducted by electronic voting for the first time in the history of Iraq[/rtl]


    [rtl]The Electoral Commission has announced earlier that about 11 million people have updated their electoral records, accounting for about 56 percent of the total electorate of 24 million voters.[/rtl]


    [rtl]In the elections, 320 political parties, coalitions and electoral lists will be contested, with 7,737 candidates, the first after the defeat of the terrorist "Da'ash" organization, and a new government is expected to be formed within 90 days after the election results are announced.[/rtl]
