"The next prime minister must have the characteristics of integrity, honesty and strength in order to build a capable state," Ahmed Karim told the Journal News.
Ali Ibrahim said that "the next prime minister must bring security and restore the original national brothers among the people of the country."

More than 7,000 candidates in 18 provinces are running this year to win seats in the 329-seat parliament, while about 25 million Iraqis will vote.
About one million security personnel from all walks of life rallied to protect the polling stations, which are due to close at 6 pm, while most of the streets leading to polling stations were closed.
According to the constitution, a new government is expected to be announced within a maximum of 90 days after the election results are announced.
The country's land borders and airspace were closed for 24 hours, starting from midnight on Friday, until midnight on Saturday. "
