Iranian President Hassan Rowhani and Qatari Emir Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani discussed on Thursday the latest developments in Palestine, an appropriate response to the Zionist crimes against the Palestinians.
"The Iranian president told the Emir of Qatar that the Islamic countries should respond at the Istanbul meeting to be held on Friday, strongly on the crimes committed by Israel against the Palestinians," the media reported in reports reported by the official IRNA news agency.
"The transfer of the US embassy to Jerusalem is a provocative step and the killing of the Palestinian people by the Zionists is a crime that the world regrets," the sources quoted Rowhani as saying.
Rohani pointed to the tension in the Gulf, stressing that "his country is ready for dialogue on the issues of the region with the Gulf States, but unfortunately there are some countries consider that a choice must be taken other than dialogue."
For his part, the emir of Qatar praised Iran's constructive stance towards the boycott of Qatar, "calling on them to" strengthen cooperation between the two countries. "
