    Start work on restoration of archaeological sites in Nineveh governorate

    Nineveh Provincial Directorate of Antiquities announced on Sunday the start of work to restore the archaeological areas in the province, which was damaged by the organization "Da'ash" terrorist.
    "The Nineveh Provincial Directorate of Antiquities has prepared a new map for the restoration of the Assyrian Mosul, the Assyrian Wall, the Bastabia Castle and Sargon, along with archeological tunnels and minarets destroyed by terrorist gangs," said Masab Mohammed, director of the province's monuments.
    "The cadres working with the archeologists and specialists in the monuments and heritage of Mosul, have started the rehabilitation work in order to preserve the heritage of the city, which is famous for it."
    The head of the committee of the affected areas in the province of Nineveh Mizahim Khayat, said that "the staff working in the presidency of the University of Mosul and in cooperation with the municipality of the province re-sections within the Faculty of Education and literature and administration after the gangs and urged the terrorist to destroy them completely."
    Khayat revealed the rehabilitation of three laboratories in the Faculty of Dentistry and Pharmacy and is now ready to work with the start of the next academic year 2018 - 2019, "noting that" the departments and laboratories equipped with the latest equipment and materials necessary for students with the provision of all supplies.
