US industry billionaire Charles Koch criticized President Donald Trump's trade policies and trade wars with many countries around the world. "It could lead to a recession," he said.
"Trump's tariff-based trade policy on products from a number of countries to protect local products could hurt the US economy itself," Koch said in a press release.
Trump has imposed billions of dollars in fees on Chinese and Canadian goods, and has threatened to impose billions more on Washington's European allies.
The White House announced last week to provide 12 billion dollars from the country's budget to help farmers to bear customs duties on their goods.
