Bank of the poor ... Bank of the working people the
    appearance of Mohammed Saleh
In developed countries, saving rates relative to national income are relatively high, and most of them go to financial institutions, especially banking ones. While savings in poorer and less developed countries, despite their declining rates as a percentage of national income, The established banking sector. Many of the savings resources in these poor countries are located in parallel or unorganized sectors, some of which invest in unlicensed projects, most of which fall outside the protection of the law. The informal sector usually includes small traders, craftsmen, farmers and workers who work in their production tools in rural areas and cities, regardless of the financial resources available to them for their business. In the absence of a structured banking system that can meet credit or finance needs for those low-income segments, the administrative and informational costs required will be extremely high or unavailable, making the ability to recover capital very limited. These poor countries are usually high and amount to one-third of GDP to nearly half, but the loss of financial markets or their division and dispersal makes the money remain chunky in the informal sector and does not reach the regulated banking sector only slightly and then stumble Rotated as seeds for To invest in small projects that are most needed. If people need small capital, they have no choice but to resort to cashiers or loaners for the purpose of borrowing. It is often lend money at an annual interest of not less than 50 percent, which is called (riba obscene) and Is one of the biggest obstacles to investment. However, the question remains how can we avoid this funding problem? Financial development remains one of the main forces in economic development. However, the question remains: how can poor societies maximize capital and finance economic growth if savings are not traded? Or recycled easily and for different uses .. As it is said! The answer
One of the encouraging beginnings was the establishment of the poor banks. Bangladesh was the first to provide credit or small loans to the needy in order to provide financing for the projects being established for economic activity. Mohammed Yunus founded the village bank in Bangladesh in 1983 and was awarded the Nobel Prize for his initiative. His idea is to provide loans to villagers and borrowers guarantee each other. The recovery record is 98 percent and 5 percent of the population there is above the poverty line every year. The World Bank has called for the idea of a village bank or a bank for the poor in more than 100 countries In the world today [size=11], That the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs is to establish a day of greatest laboring bank or the bank of the poor .venjah poor one to overcome the poverty barrier through the output signal is the hope of freeing thousands of the scourge of poverty.

Thanks Rocky, this sounds like Saleh thinks this could work in Iraq.  Worth a try, but with all the clean up the CBI is doing, I would think that needs to be done before opening "banks for the poor" - great article.
