    Met
    a number of officials of Iraq, Tuesday, with the British ambassador in
    Iraq to discuss the protocols signed between the two countries.

    The
    reporter said "Alsumaria News", and trade ministers Khairallah Babiker
    and transport Hadi al-Amiri and Oil Abdul Karim and coffee and a
    representative of the Ministry of Defense Abdul Karim Izzi and chief
    investment Baghdad Sami al-Araji, and Vice Prime Minister for Services
    Affairs Saleh al-Mutlaq and Economic Affairs Rose Nuri Shaways in the
    presence of the British Ambassador Simon Cowles in Iraq met today at the
    building and the Iraqi Foreign Ministry.

    The reporter said, the meeting discussed the protocols signed between Iraq and Britain.

    The
    Iraqi Foreign Ministry announced, in (10 July 2012), the opening of the
    Iraqi embassy in London after his rehabilitation and restoration, while
    Foreign Minister Hoshyar Zebari, the government's keenness to develop
    bilateral relations with Britain in various areas.

    Relations
    between Iraq and Britain, the worst grades after the occupation of
    Kuwait in 1990, and continued their diplomatic relations at the level of
    "interests section" Although pieces of the former Iraqi regime of these
    relations with Britain in January 1991.

    With the intensification
    of the campaign preparing for war against Saddam Hussein's regime in
    2003 Britain cut all diplomatic relations with Iraq and considered a
    number of Iraqi diplomats persona non grata them on their territory and
    this situation continued until the fall of Saddam Hussein's regime in
    Wonsan 2003.

    On 28 June 2004 agreed the Iraqi and British
    governments to restore diplomatic relations at the ambassadorial level,
    and was re-opening the Iraqi embassy in London in August 2004.
