Erdogan: We will continue counter-terrorism operations in Iraq without interruption

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan vowed on Saturday that Turkey would continue its anti-terrorism operations in Iraq without interruption.
"Our fight against the terrorist organizations in Gabor and Goody (northern Iraq) will continue without interruption. Our fighters have also destroyed the terrorist hideouts in Sinjar and Qara Jag," Erdogan said in a speech at the opening of a number of development projects in the western state of Denizli.
The Turkish president stressed that his country will not hesitate to protect its security and will intervene to eliminate any risks lurking wherever they are.
Erdogan's comments come in response to criticism voiced by Baghdad strongly for Ankara because of its military operations in northern Iraq.
Meanwhile, the Iraqi Foreign Ministry on Friday summoned Ankara's ambassador to Baghdad, Fatih Yildiz, to hand over a memorandum of protest against Turkey's "continuing air violations" of Iraqi airspace.
The Turkish army announced earlier Saturday that it had launched new raids on sites of the Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) in northern Iraq.
Turkish Foreign Ministry Spokesman Aksoi's spokesman stressed that military operations against Kurdish militants in northern Iraq would continue. The PKK, considered by Ankara a terrorist organization, has used Iraqi territory for many years as a base for operations against Turkey.

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said on Saturday that Turkey would continue counter-terrorism operations without interruption.
This came in a speech in the western state of Denizli, during the opening of a number of development projects.
"We will continue our fight against the terrorist organizations in Gabor and Goody (northern Iraq) unceasingly, and our fighters destroyed the terrorist hideouts in Sinjar and Qara Jag," Erdogan said.
He added that "his country will not hesitate to protect its security and will intervene against any risks lurking wherever they are."
