revealed a member of the Health and Environment Committee Parliamentary Hassan Khalati, Sunday, for the allocation of 1.3 within the budget of 2019 for medicines and medical supplies, noting that it represents 30% of the actual need, while stressing the importance of reviewing assignments of the health sector.

"The allocations of the Ministry of Health in the federal budget for the next year is not the required level, which is equivalent to the needs of the ministry and the health sector in Iraq in general, " Khalati said in an interview for Alsumaria News, noting that "what has been allocated to the ministry is insufficient and does not meet the aspirations of the ministry

He added that "we have meetings with the cadres of the Ministry of Health and concerned parties to discuss their needs periodically," pointing out that "medicines and medical supplies alone need to 3.9 trillion dinars to secure them fully, but the allocation is 1.3 trillion, or 30% The actual need for this sector and what is actually funded is less. "

"The importance of reconsidering the health sector allocations of importance, seriousness and sensitivity, because it is directly related to the citizen's life and should be given greater attention by the government."

The House of Representatives held its session held on Monday 24 December 2018 report and discuss the federal budget for the fiscal year 2019.
