Source: Undersecretary of the Ministry of Oil refrains from implementing the decision to rotate him to another position

A source familiar with the "abstention" of the Deputy Minister of Oil for distribution, Mutasim Akram, announced the implementation of a decision to rotate him from his post to the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Gas Affairs, referring to "pressure" exerted by Kurdish political leaders to cancel the decision or wait for it.
The source said in an interview with Alsumaria News, "There is a previous decision of the Prime Minister and Deputy Prime Minister for energy to rotate the agents of ministers according to the data of the national interest and reform."
The source, who asked not to be named, said that "among the recycling operations of agents was the rotation of the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Oil, but the Kurdish forces refused to rotate the Deputy Minister of Oil for Distribution Mutasim Akram to the Undersecretary of the Minister for Gas.
The source pointed out that "the decision was issued and the duty of implementation, but the agent refrained from implementation, and there are pressure exercised by Kurdish political leaders at the highest levels to cancel the decision or wait for him and keep the agent in his office for certain motives serve the Kurds."
On Thursday, February 14, 2019, Oil Minister Thamir al-Ghadhban issued a ministerial order to replace agents and general managers, and ordered that Moatasem Akram Hassan be appointed as deputy minister for gas affairs instead of deputy minister for distribution.
