- Turkish presidential spokesman Ibrahim Gulen strongly criticized the leaders of the countries participating in the first joint Arab League and European Union summit in Sharm el-Sheikh, Egypt.
In a tweet at his Twitter account, they published a photograph of nine convicted criminals executed earlier this month in the case of the assassination of Egyptian Attorney General Hisham Barakat in June 2015.
"These nine youths were executed by the Sisi regime, which is welcomed by some Western and Gulf countries," said spokesman Tayyip Erdogan.
In a second e-mail addressed directly to European Commission President Jean-Claude Juncker and EU Commissioner for Security and Foreign Policy Federica Mujerini, he said: "Sisi has executed nine young people and a total of 46 people. You are still attending the summit of the European Union - the Arab League In Egypt, where are your values and your principles?
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has attacked his Egyptian counterpart ahead of the Sharm el-Sheikh summit to execute dozens of people in the country since taking office.
The United Nations Office for Human Rights, based in Geneva, last Friday expressed doubts about the fairness of the Egyptian judiciary, which executed 15 people this month, and expressed concern about reports of the use of torture against the accused in Egypt.
