Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas revealed on Sunday that he briefed Iraqi Prime Minister Adel Abdul-Mahdi on the latest developments in Palestine and the violations in Jerusalem.
"I briefed the Iraqi prime minister on the developments in Palestine and the violations against Jerusalem," Abbas was quoted by state television as saying.
"The US administration proved that it was not neutral after it recognized Jerusalem as the capital of Israel, which led us to reject its peace plan," he said.
