The Information Service of the House of Representatives announced on Tuesday the agenda of the parliamentary session scheduled for Saturday.
According to a document published by the media department, which included the agenda of the meeting, and obtained a copy of the "Mawazine News," the agenda of the meeting No. (1) Saturday, 9 March 2019 will begin with a speech to the President of the Republic.
She added that "the meeting will include the discussion of unifying the efforts of the authorities to combat administrative corruption in the presence of prime ministers and the Supreme Court and the Office of Financial Supervision Agency, the Agency Integrity Agency," pointing out that "the meeting will be at one o'clock in the afternoon."
On Saturday (March 2, 2019), the Information Service of the House of Representatives announced the resumption of parliamentary sessions for the first legislative year, the second legislative term, on Saturday, March 9 at 1 pm.
On January 26, 2019, Speaker of the Chamber of Deputies, Mohamed Halboussi, announced the end of the first legislative term for the fourth parliamentary session.
The House of Representatives failed in early last month to hold an emergency meeting to respond to statements by US President Donald Trump, in which he said that his country's troops will remain in Iraq to monitor Iran in the region after the invitation of the largest blocs in parliament, Muqtada al-Sadr, and "Conquest" led by the Secretary-General of the Badr Organization, Hadi al-Amiri, to hold the emergency meeting and legislation of the law to remove US forces from Iraq.
