Parliamentary security reveals its position if the US includes the militia and Iraqi officials on the list of terrorism

The Parliamentary Security and Defense Committee has commented on reports of US moves to include popular militia groups on terrorist lists and impose economic sanctions on Iraqi officials for their "association" with Iran.
"Any US decisions to impose sanctions on popular factions or Iraqi officials are unilateral decisions and have no legal effect in Iraq or the rest of the world," said Ali al-Ghanmi, a member of the committee. "There is no possibility of attacking any Iraqi citizen , Whether responsible or not. "
Al-Ghanmi added that "the parliament will have a formal decision rejecting those decisions, if issued from Washington," calling on the Iraqi government to "take a stand from it."
