(Baghdad: Al-Furat News) The Council of Ministers held its weekly regular session, on Tuesday, chaired by Prime Minister Adel Abdul-Mahdi.
"The Cabinet issued a number of resolutions, including the approval of the recommendations of the Ministerial Council on Energy on the annual contract plan with the companies of the Ministry of Industry and Minerals," the statement said.
The Council of Ministers also approved the recommendations of the Committee on Economic Affairs "on the amendment and update of the Council of Ministers Resolution No. 347 of 2015 on the mechanism of payment of the term."
The Council of Ministers approved the "recommendation of the Ministerial Council for Energy on the determination of salaries of contractors with the Ministry of Oil as a security guard to secure the Mansuriya gas field, and agreed to determine the wages of contractors with winning public companies in the Ministry of Oil." According to the statement, "the Council of Ministers was briefed during the meeting today on the draft rehabilitation of the area around Baghdad International Airport and voted on it."
The Council agreed to "evaluate the decisions and directives issued by the former Council of Ministers for an extended period from 1/7/2018 to 24/10/2018, while discussing the allocation of a percentage of fees and fines collected to support the Social Protection Fund in the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs."
