    Information/Report..
Although the issue of regions was approved by the constitution, and one of its results was the establishment of the Kurdistan region, which enjoys great independence and almost acts as if it were a state in its own right, far from the central government, many politicians consider this experience to be one of the biggest mistakes included in the Iraqi constitution, which weakens the center and makes this constitutional issue a justification for dividing other regions from Iraq and obtaining independence and being a starting point for dividing Iraq.
This matter is one of the reasons for the great opposition within Iraq to any initiative that intends to establish another region in Iraq other than the Kurdistan region, which represents a special case in Iraq, on the grounds that it is consistent with the specificity of the Kurdish brothers.
But despite this uniqueness of the Kurds, the region has become a starting point for the leadership of certain families that monopolize all the region’s resources, such as the Barzani family, which controls the region and moves its resources as it pleases. Any opponent of this family’s behavior is subjected to all kinds of arbitrary methods that reach the stage of assassination.

This independence made others in other Iraqi provinces attempt to establish a region in their areas after they lost their political credit, and become leaders of their provinces through regionalization, such as Mohammed al-Halbousi, who lost everything after he was dismissed from his position as Speaker of the House of Representatives.
After his attempts to obtain the position of Speaker of the House of Representatives for one of his close associates failed, he moved and contacted Arab countries to establish what is called the Anbar Region, so that he would be its leader, similar to Barzani’s leadership of the Kurdistan Region.
The sources confirmed that Halbousi contacted some Arab countries, such as Jordan and some Gulf countries, to establish the Anbar region, with purely sectarian motives.
The sources told Al-Maalouma that "Al-Halbousi secretly traveled to Jordan and met with King Abdullah of Jordan to support him in this option as a prelude to dividing Iraq."
He added, "Al-Halbousi mobilized a group of figures and sheikhs of the Anbar tribes to achieve this matter, but at the same time he faced great opposition from other sheikhs inside Anbar."
Al-Halbousi was not satisfied with this matter, as Abdul Sattar Muhammad al-Dulaimi, one of the sheikhs and dignitaries of Anbar Governorate, revealed that Al-Halbousi secretly directed his supporters to hold a meeting in the Karma district, east of Fallujah, to discuss the establishment of the Anbar region.

Al-Dulaimi told Al-Maalouma Agency that "Al-Halbousi extended an invitation to political, tribal and religious figures from the provinces of Anbar, Mosul and Salahuddin to attend a conference sponsored by the Progress Party to be held next Saturday in the area where Al-Halbousi resides in Al-Karma district, east of Fallujah city, to discuss the establishment of the Anbar region and urge the masses of the liberated provinces to support this step, so that similar meetings can be held in various provinces to consolidate this idea and unify visions to move forward in achieving this project with the support of regional countries."
He added, "A number of Anbar sheikhs and dignitaries warned against the consequences of submitting to Halbousi's desires and being careful not to return the province to square one, as this project is rejected by everyone and is not in the interest of the province's residents, opens the door to foreign interventions, and divides the country into sectarian states that are vulnerable to fighting among the sons of one people."
He explained that "Al-Halbousi turned to the external player after he suffered a political defeat following his dismissal from his position to achieve his project," stressing that "the Anbar region, according to information leaked from the leaders of the Progress Party, includes Anbar, Nineveh, the outskirts of Baghdad, Diyala, Salah al-Din, and the center of the region will be Anbar."
However, this project failed from the beginning due to the strong rejection of the national forces within the Sunni regions.
The leader of the Al-Hasm Alliance, Salah al-Din al-Dulaimi, described the talk of the ousted Speaker of Parliament, Mohammed al-Halbousi, regarding the Anbar region as delusions and unbelievable dreams.
Al-Dulaimi said in a previous televised interview followed by / Al-Maalouma /, "Mohammed al-Halbousi and no other politician can declare a Sunni region in Al-Abnar or any other governorate."
He added, "The boasting that Halbousi is showing before the people of Anbar is deceptive, and what is shown to the media is contrary to reality, as the people are happy with his dismissal."
For his part, Sheikh Ahmed Al-Dulaimi, one of the sheikhs and dignitaries of Anbar Governorate, warned of a plan led by influential parties to establish the Anbar region in an attempt to regain their influence after being subjected to public criticism due to their involvement in corruption files.

Al-Dulaimi told Al-Maalouma Agency that "the Progress Party, led by Mohammed al-Halbousi, fears losing its political influence after being subjected to unexpected criticism and a decline in its popularity due to the theft of state lands, as it has returned to proposing the idea of establishing the Anbar region according to its circulated narrative of what is called defending the oppressed and the rights of the component in a step aimed at maintaining its strong influence within Anbar and with international protection, which prompted many figures to expose this plan as a project that serves foreign agendas and we do not allow its establishment because it does not meet the aspirations of the Anbar street."
He added that "some figures were subjected to accusations and defamation by the armies of the corrupt because we revealed the files of Halbousi's corruption and we are still on this approach until they are held accountable and referred to the judiciary, indicating that" a number of political figures proposed the region project for political reasons and not to serve the people of the province who reject this plan and consider it to carry motives of an external nature, stressing that national figures refused to participate in conferences prepared for this purpose in Erbil, Jordan and Turkey. It
is noteworthy that local officials propose from time to time the project of establishing the Anbar region after they went bankrupt from continuing their political career after failing to meet the demands of their voters and uncovering corruption files against them. " End 25m
