    Shafaq News/ Foreign remittance sales increased in the Central Bank auction on Wednesday by 94% over cash sales to reach more than $260 million.
    Shafaq News Agency correspondent reported that the Central Bank sold today during its auction for buying and selling the US dollar 274 million, 911 thousand and 097 dollars, covering it at a basic exchange rate of 1310 dinars per dollar for documentary credits and international settlements for electronic cards, and at a rate of 1310 dinars per dollar for foreign transfers, and at a rate of 1305 dinars per dollar in cash.
    Our correspondent added that most of the dollar sales went to boost balances abroad in the form of remittances and credits, which amounted to $260 million, 135 thousand, and 797, an increase of 94% over cash sales amounting to $14 million, 775 thousand, and 300.
    Our correspondent indicated that the number of banks that purchased cash dollars was 6 banks, while the number of banks that met requests to enhance balances abroad was 14 banks, and the total number of exchange and brokerage companies participating in the auction was 105 companies.
