Deputy in the House of Representatives, Ali al-Budairi, Saturday, that the file of the Ministry of Education political and not the legislative authority to intervene.
Al-Budairi said, "Parliament has nothing to do with filling this ministry or discussing its matter, because it concerns the government, which is supposed to instruct the House of Representatives to provide the name of a candidate for this ministry, and then put before the legislative authority."
He added, "The file of the ministry is a political, not the legislative authority and control of it, and it seems that the political blocs have not yet agreed on the appropriate candidate for the post."
According to the political consensus that followed the results of the legislative elections, the politicians of the Green Zone agreed to be the Ministry of Education from the share of the Sunni component, but the differences between the Sunni blocs themselves hindered so far the nomination of the Minister of Education despite the lapse of 9 months on the formation of the government.
