Pompeo: We are formulating steps to protect the Kurds in Syria
US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo said on Saturday that his country was working with its partners to formulate steps to protect the Kurds in northeastern Syria.
Said Pompeo in a statement posted on the State Department website: "We are coordinating with many governments, and I will talk with my European colleagues today, adding that the protection of the Kurds " is important and Saeb, the United States is seeking to achieve it. "
His comments came Pompeo while implementing Turkey since Wednesday a military operation launched by the "spring peace" in northern Syria against the Kurdish factions, which has long been an ally of Washington.
